This page explains, in plain terms, what faircompanies.build’s outputs are — and what they are not. It is part of our Terms of Service.
Preliminary and advisory only
faircompanies.build helps you understand the deterministic aspects of a lot and a building and turns them into useful early-stage material — site analyses, plot plans, zoning worksheets, schematic floor plans, and concept renders. This is pre-application, pre-design work meant to inform decisions and speed conversations — not a final, authoritative deliverable.
Not professional services
faircompanies.build is a software tool, not a licensed architect, engineer, land surveyor, attorney, or other professional. Using it does not create any professional or fiduciary relationship, and its outputs are not a substitute for professional judgment, a survey, or a permit set prepared and stamped by a qualified, licensed professional.
Not for permit submission or legal filing
Documents and renders generated by faircompanies.build are not intended for permit submission, recording, or legal filing as delivered. Concept renders are for design exploration only. Site documents are preliminary and are not a survey. Before any regulatory or legal use, the work must be reviewed, completed, and where required stamped by the appropriate licensed professional.
Automatically generated content and confidence levels
faircompanies.build uses automated generation and data resolution. Outputs may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. We surface our certainty with plain language — “confirmed,” “likely,” and “possible” — and label preliminary work as preliminary, precisely so you can tell what still needs verification.
Public data accuracy
Much of what faircompanies.build computes is derived from public data sources (parcel, zoning, hazard, and code information from government and third-party providers). That data is often incomplete, inconsistent, or outdated, and its accuracy is outside our control. Treat it as a starting point to verify, not as ground truth.
Verify before you rely
You are responsible for independently verifying any figure, boundary, setback, zoning determination, code citation, or feasibility conclusion with the relevant jurisdiction and qualified professionals before relying on it for design, financing, purchase, construction, permitting, or any other consequential decision.
What we're working toward
Our aim is to make the path from land to a permit-ready build dramatically more legible, and to keep raising how far that preliminary work can take you. We are actively building toward higher-fidelity, professional-grade outputs — but we are not there yet, and this page reflects where the product honestly stands today.
